Ground & Air Transportation - Initial
This two-day course focuses on the requirements for shipping non-bulk packages of hazmat by using the Department of Transportation’s Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR) as well as the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).
Ground & Air Transportation – Recurrent
This one-day course reviews the information listed under the Ground & Air Initial course, but is for the experienced participants. Previous training is required to take this course.
Ground & Vessel Transportation - Initial
This two-day course focuses on the requirements for shipping non-bulk packages of hazmat by using the Department of Transportation’s Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR) as well as the IMO’s IMDG Code (International Shipping).
Multi-Modal Transportation - Initial
This three day course focuses on the requirements for shipping non-bulk packages of hazmat by ground, air, and vessel using the Department of Transportation’s Hazardous Materials Regulation (49 CFR), International Air Transport Association’s Dangerous Goods Regulation (DGR), and the International Maritime Organization’s IMDG Code.
Multi-Modal Transportation - Recurrent
This is a review course that covers the information under the Multi-Modal Initial Training Course, but is for the experienced participants. The course only lasts one day and has a faster pace.
Previous training is required to take this course.

Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR) mandates training for individuals involved in the transportation of hazardous materials dangerous goods. Hazardous materials (Hazmat) employees must be trained within 90 days after employment or change of job function. Recurrent training of all hazmat employees is required every three years for ground and every two years for air transportation. CP&T, Inc. has numerous training classes designed to help hazmat employees meet their obligation under the law to prepare and offer shipments of hazmat by ground, air or vessel.
